This thread is for new pics of Sage, Sechs, and our lolar bear moderator Ragnarok.

If anyone happens to have the pictures from my birthday thread, please repost them here; I didn't save them before the troll attack.

Updated the image storage area - http://dammitfreehaven.com/photo/ - and added Miranda Leigh's ad to the rotation.

Man, we need some CSS for the image storage area.

It's supposed to be flipped.
My Mac messed up the orientation.

I don't have photoshop on my Mac yet.
But I still tried to flip the image before saving it. Oh well.

I might draw Sechs next.
>> No. 37696 ID: f6eafa
The 'Preview' program that comes with Macs (it's what pictures open in, by default) can flip an image. It's in the Tools menu. Photoshop not required.

iPhoto probably has useful tools also, though I don't have it on my Mac; I have an old Mac.
>> No. 37819 ID: 91ca15
>>37696

Okay, here's the thing.

When I took the picture via PhotoBooth (the camera application on my Mac), the picture was flipped when I saved it. I went to Preview to flip it around, then saved it. When I uploaded it, I found what happened in >>37595.

Turns out, the picture automatically flips BACK when I open it with Safari.

Whatever.

anyone know wtf happened to FA?

Maybe Dragoneer jizzed on the server by accident?

Primary fiber line at their datacenter's ISP got cut.
>> No. 38099 ID: 6434cf

What I find most entertaining is that this very same theory was postulated in one of the IRC channels I frequent. Apparently, if FA is down people everywhere automatically assume Dragoneer came all over the server.
>> No. 38103 ID: 8d9162
>>38093
Seriously, get a Twitter. Dragoneer always posts updates on his Twitter and @furaffinity as to what's happening.

>>37819
Apple software saves the fact that you rotated it as metadata and doesn't ACTUALLY rotate it. Make sure after you've rotated the pic that you save it, and check it in a non-Apple app like GIMP or Photoshop.

>>38099
If I remember right, it's because the last time FA went down, Dragoneer made a joke that he had to clean the cum out of some servers from someone humping them.

Pic I *technically* started months ago, but only just today got around to doing the actual final lineart, coloring, etc. I'll post it to FA as soon as FA comes back up.

The world does not have enough "Nude Sechs with Banhammer"/"Sechs holding hand in front of her mouth" pics. :V

Lulz is one to talk. They cut their /share/ section because people were spending more time on their than anything else, leaving more b-tards to clog up the board with inane topics. Now it's all inane topics.

Have you not read the LJ? Preyfar posted it clearly, in bold text: They are NOT asking for, nor do they need, donations for this issue. They stated that extra $$$ won't do anything, this is just about time and a bit of work. And in fact, they claim, the new setup should cost 25% LESS to run. I've been reading the LJ posts, and the only thing even close to whining was something about "Aw, crap, I'm out of energy drink, gotta go get more" (In essence "This is gonna take time, I need to go buy more stay-awake products").

Get your facts before you think "FA is down again? I don't even have to look, they're begging for money. They must be because they always do".

I swear... Some furries hear ANYTHING out of someone's mouth besides an artist saying "Here's all my art, free, forever" and interpret it as either "Give me money for free because I want it" or some form of "BAWWWW!".

What is said: "FA is offline, fiber lines crapped out, servers and FA itself are fine, we're fixing things as fast as possible"
What is heard: "BAWWWWW!"
What is said: "Money won't help this, we don't need donations, and the new arrangement will cost significantly less"
What is heard: "Everyone send us a hundred dollars now or FA will never be up again, sob whimper pity cry"
>> No. 38567 ID: 6434cf

Okay, this thread's gotten past the bump point, and that's when I promised myself I'd lock it. Gonna unsticky it in a little while, too - possibly to make room for a new attentionwhoring thread. We'll see.
