Otter? Awesome. I thought the closest they would ever get is Buizel / Floatzel.

I do like the snake...And I never started with the grass type before.

And here's hoping that the fire type doesn't become fire/fighting...AGAIN.

Have you seen the female trainer? Overkill Daisy Duke cutoffs. Combine that with the fact that your starters are a piggy, an otter, and a snake...

Yep, this is Pokemon: Deep South edition.

The pig, for some reason, makes me think of electricity...

Fire/Electric would be awesome D=

Lessee Fire/Electric
Resists Electricity, Flying, Steel(x4), Bug, fire, grass, and ice

Weak against Ground (4x), water, and rock

Lots of resistances but 4x weakness against one of the most common offensive types.

The snake makes me make think Dark subtype. The otter makes me think Ice subtype, but they might introduce a new type or two.

I dunno, Fighting Pig sounds kind of awesome (though chances are it'll turn into some kind of weird looking boar by the time its Fighting)

Looking at the new pokemon including that devilfox thing, I'm wondering if Satoshi Tajiri even has any input on the designs anymore. The designs from 4th Gen still looked like the were in the same universe, but this is getting way out there.

On the other hand, I do like the grass skink.

At least when Sankaku does that (though replace "4chan" with "2chan" or "Kotaku"), they usually have the decency to include a porn pic.

Or pics.

Stupid as the article is, I'm fond of the name Smugleaf.

Moot point, though. When this comes out, I'm taking the pig as my starter. Naming him Porkroast.

Apparently Black/White is going to be set in a new region called Isshu, which is a great distance away from Kanto, Sinnoh, and the others.

Speculation is that it might be a United States analog.

The mascot legendaries (as I call them) for Black and White have been revealed on the website. Zekrom (black) and Reshiram (white). The release date has also been given for the games: Fall 2010 for Japan, and Spring 2011 for the US.

That is a bold, bold move right there. Necessary, perhaps, to keep the Pokedex manageable, but I expect a lot of 10-year-old teeth gnashing on release day when kids who don't read gaming news find out they can't catch their favorites.

I personally think it's a positive step to break players away from their old teams and habits. Makes it feel more like a new game than an expansion pack.
>> No. 2547 ID: 6c0eba

I approve of the first two. Not so much the otter one, which is weird for me.

don't you mean 20 year old, nostalgia filled dipshits?

New trailers have been released!
I don't know a word of Japanese, but here's what I spot:

*3-on-3 battles
*3D battle animations
*Wi-fi chat/battle rooms
*Dynamic overworld camera
*Some kind of dress-up and dance kind of minigame i don't even know what
*A "dream world" social network-looking thing acessable via PC
*Saw some classic 'mons in there, including a gratuitous Pikachu cameo, so apparently >>2544 isn't 100% true.
>> No. 2559 ID: 715b82
>>2555
Judging by this, and what little Japanese I know, it looks like you will be able to get the older pokemon, just they will only be available through whatever PalPark analog the game has (that arrow shooting minigame near the end, I think.)
