>>555, yes, I admit, Resident Evil 4 did bring new breath to the series, but that was a welcome change because the Resident Evil series has been around forever, and was in dire need of a change. And that aside, you didn't play RE4 for the same reason you played Dead Space. You played RE4 to be a badass killing parasite-infested Spaniards and saving the President's awkwardly attractive daughter.
You played Dead Space to get the shit scared out of you. And, try as hard as they may, when you feel like you can take on everything in your way, you lose that experience. It's kind of the same reason people didn't like Silent Hill Homecoming. It's not a Horror game anymore. It's an action game with zombies.
As for him talking, I'll be slightly more fine with him if he's realistic, but I'll still be disappointed. When the only thing you heard out of Issac were grunts and yelps of pain, it kind of helped the horror feel of the game. This is a guy is scared shitless, just like you would be in the situation.
All in all, I don't think the game will be bad. The reason I'm so disappointed is that it'll be another drop in the massive bucket of Third-Person shooters, when the first one was such a massive conquest for the horror genre.
