Old cyberpunk novel.

Has some good/amusing stuff. And some really dumb stuff. And a lot of the author filibustering about some theory of human sentience that was so pointless and dull that I wound up skipping large portions of it.

But the main character's name that he goes by is Hero Protagonist. Actually Hiiro, I think, but he anglicized the spelling for extra lulz.
