Like Sechs, my personal board has its own set of rules.

1. Don't start threads.
2. Don't ask me why I'm posting something. If I feel like sharing why I'm posting something, I'll let you know with the first post in a thread.
3. Badmouthing Squirrel Girl is forbidden. (With the exception of Sechs doing it, because if I don't let her, she will hurt me.)
4. Feel free to reply with text posts in the threads, but don't assume that any thread is a request for posting more content unless I specifically ask for more content.
5. Tina Lynx is love.
6. Please try to post with a name and/or tripcode. Anonymous posting is fine, but do you really want to be referred to as an Anonymous Attentionwhore?

ITT, Squirrel Girl. Fanart, fanfics, /34/, it's all good.

(No hate art, please; that belongs over on /sechs/.)

And the music from level five of the same game.

In my opinion the best songs from that game.

Heard this on one of Chalo's streaming sessions a couple of weeks back, just now got around to identifying/downloading it. Good stuff. More info about the album it's from - and a download - are on the Mega Man Network wiki: http://bit.ly/dpLMSh

Rao, from Okami. I'm not that big on the game (still haven't beaten it), but I appreciate it for what it is.

The funny thing is, is that when I first met her in the game, I didn't really like her. I just thought that she was just another one of those characters thrown in for tits and fan service.
Then, when she got that mask, I was just...damn! Bangin'!
...I'm such a furfag. :(

Actually...just good, clean pictures of her with the mask would be good. A quick search on google or DA reveals nothing but mediocre drawings...the majority of which are without the mask.
I'll shut up now.

Ask me anything, and I'll answer it! (Unless it's about Sechs, then you're better off not asking.)

Not self-diagnosing, honestly. I'm just a little worried at how a lot of those symptoms seem to ring true with me. I'd go to an actual medical professional to get any sort of real diagnosis.

Well, I wouldn't read into it if I were you. We all have our quirks, eccentricities, and flaws. Sometimes these just happen to fit into a...personality disorder or whatever. I mean, come on. According to the wiki, I'm an aspie.

Now that's just silly. I'm just a self-centered asshole.
>> No. 852 ID: 68827a
Sage, it won't be the first time I've said this, but I believe in you. You've got potential just like everyone else. Wallowing in self-pity won't help things, even though I'm one to talk.

We all have our demons, but we can either choose to let them rule our lives, or we find the way out of the low point and fight back. You can do this, but you know that you can't keep spinning your wheels, as it gets you nowhere. Ask somebody you can trust for help in getting out of this and onto the right path. Start small, and gradually build yourself back up.

You can do it.

How can imageboards improve? What could be done to improve imageboard culture, or to generally make using imageboards better?

Madelyn Dinkley unrelated, but cute.

Getting rid of the idiots and keeping unnecessary opinions to oneself would be nice, but then we'd just have to get rid of Imageboards altogether if that were the case...

I saw something on PAWSRU recently (I don't make a habit of going there, I was bored) that I think might be a good feature for this site.

They have a board dedicated to just archiving old threads that they think are worthy of archiving. http://pawsru.org/ar/ I think this would be a good thing to have, as I can certianly think of one particular thread on hugbox to large for any screencap program to capture, yet too awesome to recede into the back pages when it's eventually unstickied.
>> No. 844 ID: 997868
Something that won't necessarily apply to here, but moreso to pawsru.org:
To prevent endless bumping, a 'bump' button that can be used to bump a thread without making a post, clogging the thread, that can be set to only work, say, 5 or so times.
I've no idea how realistic this is as an idea, but I still think it's a good one. Thoughts, Sage?

Cute weasel unrelated.

So, the Bernal bullshit got me in the mood to start working on the "copyright primer" eBook again. But this time, I want to start into it with a little bit clearer idea of what I should cover, and to what extent I should cover it.

Therefore. Aside from the basics of copyright (what it is, what the purpose of copyright is, DMCA-related stuff), I'd like to ask you what you think should be covered. I plan on including a section on my opinions on copyright (after all the factual stuff, of course), so any questions in that area would work too.

What effective business plans can be used that incorporate some level of free access to what is being sold. I think touching on ways to use free sharing of information as part of a business plan (advertising, try-before-you-buy, etc) would be helpful for a lot of people.
>> No. 820 ID: 7f9e97
Let's see, a few things to address...

The content vs. hardware issue. How some companies' content divisions (music labels, game labels, etc.) constantly institute more draconian measures of trying to stem piracy, while the same company's own hardware division encourages it (easy copy DVD writers, MP3 players, etc.).

Also one of the things I'd like to see is a comparison of the iTunes model of online distribution versus the Steam model of online distribution.
