So, Obama can't be bothered to go to the anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall or the anniversary of the start of WWII, but he didn't have any problems going off and trying to get the Olympics for Chicago?

So... why is this news? See, I could care less what Obama decides not to go and do and what he does instead, just like I didn't care that he could swat flies or liked dijon mustard.

I don't care about any of his policies or anything, I mostly don't like the Obama administration because of this. That everything is newsworthy. When he does some stupid bullshit not really effecting anything and the media fucking runs with it because he's Black Jesus.

>So... why is this news?

Because throughout the campaign we heard about how only he can reform America's image throughout the world, and how he'll be fantastic for foreign policy. Yet every time he gets an easy foreign policy gain, he refuses it and effectively snubs everyone else who attends. Take the anniversary of the start of WWII when you had the leaders of France, Russia, Poland, Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy, etc, etc, etc there, and then a US general there instead of the president, and the reason he didn't attend was that he was that it was too close to labor day.

>I could care less what Obama decides...

So you DO care about what he does.

As for the topic at hand, even with him dead Obama feared Reagan would overshadow him at the wall. I know it sounds petty, but then, Obama is horribly petty as well so it makes sense to me. He can't stand not being the center of attention and any place that has more world leaders, or is the subject of many former world leaders who accomplished far more in their short tenures than he has his entire life, he is afraid of being seen in the background rather than the foreground.

>>13145,

Eh, I'll give you that... if it's legit, fine, I'm just tired of having every single thing about Obama become a news sensation.

Eh, I care when its something worth me caring about. At first glance, this wasn't one of those things, and it's still a minor blip with me compared to some other issues I've had with Obama's presidency.
